Hi all,
The haproxy website was registered among about 300 other ones which participates to the world IPv6 day event :
What this means is that today (08/06/2011) it is available both over IPv4 and IPv6. In practice you should not observe any issue, because I have enabled it one week ago and nobody complained :-)
Statistics about the available sites are here :
http://www.worldipv6day.org/participants-dashboard/index.html
And the status of each site is here :
http://www.worldipv6day.org/participant-websites/index.html
If you experience any issue today connecting to the net, try large well known sites such as google, akamai, yahoo, youtube, facebook or kernel.org, they're all participating too. If you have issues on these sites, then the problem is on your side.
I'm sure that many sites will keep their ipv6 announces enabled after the event finishes, because it seems to work much better than a few years ago when I had to stop announcing IPv6.
As you can see on the stats page here, many direct (non-cached) connections are done over IPv6 :
However, those are a bit lying because there are several sites which are periodically checking the main page, which account for a few thousands connections a day.
Regards,
Willy
