Hi,
When using a socket to control haproxy there is already the capability to mark a server as 'down' for maintenance. Is there any possibility of adding the capability to mark it as 'backup'?
This feature would permit greater automation control via scripting (i.e. progressively marking a server as 'backup' and then 'down' once the sessions have reduced to at/near zero.
Is this a good idea? Are there good reasons why this hasn't been done already?
Thanks,
