haproxy with 10Gig NICs

Hi All,

I've just published a few preliminary benchmark results of HAProxy running on Myricom's 10Gig NICs. Results are excellent, with 9.897 Gbps reached with two processes, and 35128 hits/s !

First quick conclusions :

• second CPU only brings +50% performance
• large buffers (63 kB instead of 16 kB) are only a gain above 3-4 Gbps, and my be a loss below, probably due to larger cache footprint
• sepoll may be faster than epoll by 20-30% on large transfers
• some work will be needed to deal with smaller MTU and to work on tcp-splicing
